About the Hosts:

Representative Paul Evans was born in Salem and raised in the nearby town of Monmouth. After high school, Paul attended Western Oregon State College, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S Air Force and spent four years of active duty. Upon completion of his initial military duty, Paul enrolled in the Master's program at Oregon State. He was recalled to duty after the Sept. 11, 2001. After completing this tour of duty, Paul joined the Senior Policy Staff of Governor Kulongoski, departing the Governor's office in 2010 to work for the private sector company, High Impact Technology. He left that organization in 2012 and lectured as an adjunct instructor around the northwest. He is now a full-time speech communication professor at Chemeketa Community College. Paul successfully ran for the House District 20 seat in 2014 and was reelected in 2016. His priority issues include education, veterans' services, small business vibrancy, and women's reproductive rights.
