Yesterday was a big day for Salem and Marion County. It was the ribbon cutting for Taylor's Place, a 10 bed facility for homeless youth, the only one of its kind in Marion County. This project with started with a dream from Raul Marquez, who was a high schooler at Mckay who didn't think it was right that homeless young people had no place to go in Marion County. I was honored when he asked me and five of my colleagues from the legislature to sign onto a letter in support of the last $200K needed to make this project a reality. Congratulations Raul, and everyone else who made this dream a reality here in Salem.
