This year we will elect a new US President, a US Senator, a US Congressman, an Oregon Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, and a new Legislature. 
 
2008 will be the year of change - an election long remembered for the choices we make, the America we empower.     
 
Dramatic change at the national and state level is crucial, but real change will be sustained through our personal commitment to do the work at the local level.    
 
Our Oregon is a reflection of our individual willingness to engage: lasting change will only come from a new relationship between citizens and our government. 
 
It is time for us to work together and transform that relationship.  Progress can be made every day in our county courthouses, city council chambers, and at school boards across Oregon.
 
It is time for us to establish a progressive vocabulary for change - a common language - a framework built upon our shared values that can be put into practice in every community.
And it is time for us field a new generation of progressive leadership throughout Oregon.
 
Oregon Pioneer PAC offers a way.   
 
It is a small organization with a simple purpose: seek out leaders at the neighborhood level and help. 
 
Together we can add a new chapter to the Oregon Story.
 
Now is the time for people of good conscience to act: we need a renewal of our community conscience - a peaceful revolution for progressive change.

Over the past few years each of us lamented the lost opportunities we have observed in past elections.  We have all asked ourselves the same question: what can we do?  Is there a plan - a program for lasting reform?  How can we make this year something special?
 
Oregon Pioneer PAC is the first paragraph of that new chapter.
 
Together we really can transform the political landscape of Oregon, one community at a time.
 
Together we can develop and field a team of leaders that can renew our Oregon.  
 
I am asking everyone that supported me in the past to stand with me now: even though I am not running for office, I am committed to continuing the work we started in 2006.
 
Oregon Pioneer PAC will lay a foundation for the kind of structural change we need throughout Oregon.  Making it happen is our campaign in 2008.
