10/19/10: Proposals for Consideration: Military, Veterans', and War-fighting Policies

We have designed this website as an interactive tool for policy, politics, and promoting community.  Like many similar sites, there is an inventory of personal experience.  This includes a current resume, course/s information, links to organizations, and a potpourri of photography and poetry that reflect the spirit if not the talent of a romantic.

At the same time, this site is also a clearinghouse for ideas.  It includes thoughts on political philosophy and policy concepts - offered to further inclusive, transparent dialogue.  These arguments are posted with full awareness of the danger: modern political combat punishes open dialogue - 30 second attack ads too often reduce and reshape complex policy proposals into something to fear. 

This will continue until the public demands a change.  In simple terms, we cannot - and will not - progress as a society as long as we are afraid to engage in open discussion about the means and ends of our society; we can no longer afford the luxury of maintaining a political structure that feeds upon an ill-informed public - of a system that plays to our worse rather than best human tendencies.

For generations, brave souls have defended our rights to act, live, and think.  It is to honor that sacrifice that all of us must renew our personal commitment to making this world - this nation - this community a better place to live.
