Accomplishments - Community Governance

• Development /implementation of the Monmouth Visioning Process: a program that invested over 200 citizens in a neighborhood-by-neighborhood outreach effort (1999)

• Development/initial implementation of the Monmouth-Independence Network (MINET) fiber-optic service program: collaboration with City of Independence (1999-2002)

• Development/implementation of City of Monmouth Effluent Reuse Program: model alternative practices sewer water treatment effort (1999-2002)

• Establishment of the Monmouth Legacy Forest: an urban forestry program in Monmouth that planted over 300 trees over four years (1999-2002)

• Establishment of the Monmouth-Independence "All-Hands Initiative" collaborative forum: a joint partnership with Central School District 13J, City of Independence, Polk County Fire District #1, and Western Oregon University (1999-2002)
